Join WELab for a daylong retreat rooted in creative and ceremonial practices to embody rematriation, connect with the land and each other, and cultivate reciprocity and gratitude. Together, the ceremony will honor the Bay Area’s land and waterways—especially Tomales Bay—by engaging the soil, listening deeply to the lands of the Coast Miwok/Tamal’ko people, and grounding in indigenous teachings of reciprocity.

Guided by Aja Couchois Duncan (mixed-race Anishinaabe artist, coach, and healer) and Marcela Torres (artist and educator) of the WElab Collective, we will also be joined by Theresa Harlan of the Alliance for Felix Cove, who will share stories and connect us to current rematriation efforts there.
