Cultivating Power for Liberatory Transformation

Welcome to the Prefiguring Futures Lab!

We are thrilled to be launching the Prefiguring Futures Lab—a rigorous, sacred, and liberatory learning space for people working to advance liberatory transformation to be in practice together. We hope you can join us at the upcoming Lab on February 12-16, 2024!

This five-day in-person experience will bring together a small group of Change Elemental friends and family who are already experimenting and practicing with the five elements of transformation: advancing deep equity, cultivating leaderful ecosystems, embedding multiple ways of knowing, influencing complex systems change, and centering inner work. It will be an opportunity to dive into all five elements, share practices, learn, and unlearn together.

For more information on the Prefiguring Futures Lab overall design and other future offerings, see here.

Location: Hyatt Regency Tamaya Resort and Spa, Santa Ana Pueblo, NM (closest airport is the Albuquerque Sunport).

Community Calls

Register for a community call

We will be hosting two community calls this January:

The community calls are an opportunity for us to begin to co-create our container together, to set our sacred space, and build relationships.  The calls are not required, but we encourage you to join one of the two calls. Please register for one using the link above.

In this lab, you’ll be joined by movement leaders and field shifters from across the nation, and we are sharing this cohort’s participants with you all as a first step in building community!

Travel Subsidies

Submit travel subsidy requests

Many of you have expressed interest in learning more about our travel subsidies, so we want to share the process with you. Change Elemental has a subsidy pool of $5,000 to share between the 12 attendees who noted interest.

If you would like to request a travel subsidy, please fill out this form and ask for what you need by December 8th. Confirmation of allocations will be no later than Friday, December 20.

Payment

Make a payment

We are asking folks to contribute what they can between $500 and $5,000+. The actual cost to Change Elemental would be approximately $20,000 per person. Change Elemental will be subsidizing this cost significantly. Please see below for registration fee ranges.

Your registration fee will cover the program, lodging, onsite group meals, and snacks. This fee does not include the cost of travel to the location. We do have a pool of funds to offer travel subsidies to folks needing travel support.

Participation is on a sliding scale and we ask that you contribute based on the ranges below. Please select the range that best describes your situation and indicate the amount you’ll be paying within your range in the form below.

What’s next?

In January, we will reach out to you with a Grounding Packet—a collection of logistical information (the overall Lab design, room confirmations, and answers to questions like: Where can I find a gluten-free breakfast? What amenities does Tamaya offer?), as well as pre-work and pre-play requests to complete before we come together in the Lab.

In the meantime, if you have any questions or concerns, please reach out to Naima, Lab Experience Coordinator at PrefiguringFutures@ChangeElemental.org
