Josephine Chu joined Change Elemental in 2018 and provides communications support for the Change Elemental team. She advances the communications strategies through managing Change Elemental’s social media and website.
In addition to working at Change Elemental, Josephine is the Programs and Operations Manager at Common Good City Farm, an urban farm in Washington, DC. She is the co-founder of Zenful Bites, a women of color-owned social enterprise that provides plant-based eco-catering services and food education programming in the DC metro region.
Josephine previously taught environmental education at nature centers and K-12 schools. Josephine received a Master’s in Global Environmental Politics from American University. She also holds a B.A. in Political Science and Environmental Studies from Binghamton University (SUNY). She is passionate about food justice, connecting youth to where their food comes from, and sharing stories with like-minded people.
