While no board of directors is like any other, there are some broad dynamics which affect all boards – or nearly all – which can help board and staff members identify the differences among the boards they serve or serve on. This paper lists some of these common dynamics in an effort both to help people become better board members and to help staff understand their boards better.
Please note that our more recent publications have built on this, and other foundational pieces, written in the early days of Management Assistance Group (MAG) (now Change Elemental).
