Stephanie is an enrolled member of the Oglala Lakota Nation and the founder and Executive Director of Seven Fires, a non-profit organization dedicated to nurturing the fires of Indigenous stewardship, reigniting Indigenous sovereignty, and forging lasting relationships of solidarity. She carries over 25 years of experience in executive level management and has spent the last decade focused on nurturing matriarchal approaches to revitalizing Indigenous economies.

As a strategist and macro social worker, she brings a necessary systems level perspective to how Seven Fires cultivates solutions – and as an Indigenous woman and liberatory coach she brings a personal perspective that supports the unique roles that people, place, and purpose play within movement building.

Globally recruited as a voice for alternative economic approaches, Stephanie sees Seven Fires becoming a conduit for connection between communities, tribal nations, and people seeking to create a future in which profit is not the primary measure of personal or economic success.

She holds a Bachelor of Business Administration from Lindenwood University and her Master of Social Work degree from the Brown School of Social Work at Washington University in St. Louis. She is an artist, mother of 3, and grandmother of 2.
